O.K. all you S.O.B.’ers, it’s coming up. For all of you mothers, grandmothers and great grandmothers, I hope you will take next Sunday and love every minute of it  You deserve it!!  After all, there were all the trials and tribulations, the colds and scrapped legs and arms and the friends they sparred with along the way.

Today is the 10th anniversary of my husband’s passing and he made such a good mother and father–one in a million. I was such a lucky woman to have his support and backing in raising a family. He was like a big teddy bear.

There is so much opportunity now that wasn’t there just a few years ago. Again I was lucky because I didn’t know there were all these issues so I just barreled ahead. Anyhow, I am amazed at all the wonderful things that mothers accomplish while raising their brood, keeping house and re-energizing themselves.

However, mothers should be celebrated all the time, not just on one day. So pay attention to what is going on around you, appreciate your opportunities, pay it forward, keep learning and smile–you will get through all of the crises.
