April Fool’s Day

April Fools Day

Don’t you wonder every time someone asks or tells you something on April 1 whether or not they’re trying to put one over on you? I don’t because I usually forget it’s April Fool’s Day, however then it’s brought up and I begin to wonder.

It would be great if we were all honest with each other but there are always practical jokers and those who want to flip your switch. Do you sometimes feel you’re on a stage playing a variety of roles? Sometimes this topsy-turvy world of ours can take its toll, so it’s not all bad when people toy with us and make us laugh at what we believed.

While I always recommend telling the truth and having your recipient’s best interest at heart, everyone needs to laugh, and if April Fool’s Day can do that for you, I’m all for it. Some historians speculate that April Fools’ Day dates back to 1582, when France switched from the Julian calendar to the Gregorian calendar as for by the Council of Trent in 1563.

Regardless, here’s how to have a great day every day:

  1. Wake up with a smile and go to bed with a smile. (I do).
  2. Make sure you learn something new every day.
  3. Do something for someone who needs something every day.
  4. Be thankful every day for your blessings.
