Breast Cancer Awareness Month
From the Journal of the S.O.B.:
Here we are again, in the month of Breast Cancer Awareness. As you know, I am journeying through my fourth case, and am being very diligent about how I am doing it. Right now, they are trying out a new treatment of chemo pills which I take 12 hours apart, 3 at a time, for 14 days on and 14 days off.
I did go to the Interventional Radiologist for an assessment of my liver but was told whatever was there was too small to biopsy so now waiting to hear about either an ultrasound or a contrasting cat scan. I know this is too much info for you, but I like to keep you in the loop.
The most important point of this is to make all of you out there aware of how important getting yourself checked is. Don’t miss your mammograms or your self-exams, and remember you know your body better than any doctor. If you feel something isn’t right, get it checked. And as you know, Malcolm Knowles, Beyonce’s dad, has been diagnosed with b.c. as well, so men, watch yourselves as well.
Other than that, I am doing fine, still working out, going to events, speaking and coaching and writing up a storm.
