People talk about balance all the time. As a matter of fact, I am putting a series together on that exact subject. However, I am a firm believer that one person’s balance is not someone else’s. And it is so important to find yours.

You can be busy some or all of the time. As an S.O.B., you are free to make that choice. People and events will pop up all the time to challenge your sanity, time and efforts. Demands will be put on you that you think are unfair. You’ve earned the right to balance your life on your own terms and not be beholden to anyone.

You can decide who and what gives you the greatest gifts, pleasures, strength, joy and excitement and choose to spend your time with them.

Here’s how:

  1. Decide what areas you want to concentrate on.
  2. Choose how much time you want to spend on each.
  3. List what you think about most and post them everywhere.
  4. Read biographies of people you admire and see how many times they failed before success hit.
