From the Journal of the S.O.B.:
Somehow when fall arrives, our minds turn to getting things organized and in better shape. Since I have been anticipating a full move to California for 2 years now, I have boxes everywhere and now I have “stuff” on top of the boxes.
At least I keep a good list of what has to be done each day and since I am involved in so many things, it’s a good idea that I do. So I am going to suggest to you that you make that list in writing so that you don’t miss anything. I know that if I don’t write something down, I don’t do it. The mind considers the act of writing something down a completion, so it sure helps when you do it.
Your mind only remembers 40% of what it wants to—on time. It is so easy to get distracted that this keeps your sanity in place and helps keep things from slipping through the cracks. Figure out where your defeats happen and make the changes. Just make sure your to-do list is a practical one and not filled with things you wouldn’t do anyway.
