Hurricane or No Hurricane

From the Journal of the S.O.B.:

For days everyone has been getting ready for the “big one.” We now have learned it won’t hit us directly but should still have an impact with wind and rain.  I did my duty and took the furniture in off the balcony (with help from the maintenance team), and the cats are looking at it as a new play and toy area, I went grocery shopping so I would have non-perishables, and charged up my flashlight/radio/phone device.

Which all brings up the subject of balance. It’s different for everyone and changes as we change. My balance isn’t yours and vice-versa. And when a major event like a hurricane enters your life, balance is once again challenged. However, if you want so much energy that people think you come from another planet, put balance in your life. So decide what it means to you and how you want to divide up your life.

Do you want to concentrate on family, community, career, education, sports? They don’t have to be divided equally and there are probably some things you don’t want at all. The most important thing is to get your life in order so that when a hurricane strikes-whether real or a man-made one, you’re ready!
