I hope all of you had a wonderful mother’s day! I spent mine with my daughter and you may laugh, but we went to IHOP. It was terrific! I had a Belgian waffle combo with 2 eggs, sausage and hash browns and loved every minute of it. I don’t get to do that very often and I really pigged out.
Since we in the month of renewal, I thought it might be a good time to talk about family connection. Although you are all in various stages of empty nesting, grandmothering, living a newly single life, taking care of elderly parents or still in the throws of kids at home, it’s a good time to think about how you want the family unit to look and that is different for everyone.
The most important thing is to have the family unit you want and what’s right for you. Since many people are scattered in today’s world, you have to think of how you want to stay connected and many are doing that through Face Time which is super.
My granddaughter wished me a Happy Mother’s Day. and so did my great-grandson and son–so the family was complete even though everyone is living in different parts of the country. How are you renewing your family ties? How are you bringing everyone and everything together?
When you think of renewal, I want you to think about personal as well as professional life. That could mean retirement, a new direction, a new location or new love. Whatever it is, enjoy your new adventure and make the most of it.
