It doesn’t take much to be nice to others. A simple smile, a thank you, a helping hand now and then, and really just paying attention to others. I am also amazed and impressed with the generosity of the people who are helping out with the fires by providing for those who have lost everything.
One firefighter rescued a dog on the top of a car whose fur and paws were burned and reunited him with his owner. The stories are powerful and show the spirit of so many. The same with all the flooding where strangers formed a human chain to rescue people caught in the raging waters.
It doesn’t take that much every day just to recognize people, compliment them and make their day a little brighter. You have no idea how many people are leading unhappy, lonely lives and need that one moment of attention.
